The Adams County Sheriff's Office Employees' Orphan's Fund is honored to recognize Hailey Pollard, Gray Stuck, and Hagen Vang as the recipients of the 2026 George Hovorka Memorial Scholarship.

Established in honor of George Hovorka, a longtime educator and advocate for student success, the scholarship reflects his belief in the power of education and his commitment to supporting the families of the Adams County Sheriff's Office. Each year, the Orphan's Fund awards three $1,000 scholarships to deserving students pursuing higher education.

This year's recipients have demonstrated outstanding dedication, perseverance, and a commitment to their educational goals. We are proud to celebrate their accomplishments and support them as they take the next step in their academic journeys.

The scholarship recipients were recognized during a special presentation led by Undersheriff Kevin Currier, who congratulated each student on behalf of the Orphan's Fund Board and wished them continued success in their education and future endeavors.

The Board also extends its sincere appreciation to this year's scholarship judges, Kathy Miller, Heather Haney, and Shelby Haney, for generously volunteering their time to review the applications and help select this year's recipients.

Congratulations again to Hailey, Gray, and Hagen. We wish each of you continued success and look forward to seeing all you accomplish in the years ahead.
